Single cab kit storage

Hi all!

I wonder if anyone can point me to a thread about building a kit locker on a single cab pick up.

I'm looking at obviously chopping the bed and building a unit in between that and the cab to keep all the saws and climbing/rigging kit in. Has anyone had any experience doing this?

Ive got an aluminium crossover box from nj aluminium. It goes across the top of the sides behind the back window with doors either side and leaves the underside so you still have the full length of the bed for long spades etc and a semi dry place for fuel cans and some tools underneath. You can get loads in there and I wouldn't be without it now.

As spikeymickey said, nj aluminium linings. They seem to make great stuff. I don't own one but I have plans to buy a pick up and as soon as I do I am gonna get one of these. I saw a nevara with one on a used car pitch and it was very tough and sturdy!

this box looks more useful to me. the fully covered boxs are ok, but anything put in the back is bound to slide forward Under the shelfing area and the only way to get it is to climb in and reach up there. without the back cover its easier to climb in. also if you are chipping or putting logs in there you dont really want the back cover part.

though it would be useful if they did it with just the sides, like gready boards and no roof on the back.....
