Isuzu or Toyota?

So if you were going to buy a new 4x4 double cab pick up, which would you choose between the Isuzu D-Max and the Toyota Hilux?

Isuzu has the pulling power - 3500kg vs the Hilux 2800kg. But the Toyota brand is indestructible

no contest now izuzu now have the utitility in the uk so you can wash it out no cloth seats. and heard toyota not as good as its old stable ones. plus price difference between two can get a izuzu for £16k doubt if you get a base toyota for under 22k.

and as you say it pulls 3.5 tonne. and can have fitted a taco as part of deal which is worth 2k in its own right.

soon need one when pulling trailers. so get it fitted when buying truck

The Hilux is no longer as indestructible but still probably the best by some margin.

I have seen new hilux single for 14k and double for 16k

You should be able to get a digi tacho supplied and fitted for £1200 the law has been around since 1997

The d max is a good vehicle but the latest ones have had lots of problems with dpf regeneration causing the engine oil level to rise and blow engine.

As treefrog said if you need to tow 3500kg its got to be the dmax

Recently? The Toyota website advertises the most basic double cab at 21.7k on the road

Go on ebay and search for hilux there are several companies advertising them. Does the Toyota price incl vat ? £17500.00 + vat = £21500.00 you should be able to get at least 10% off that price at the dealers. Who is your local dealer

I have heard it . Its to do with the DPF regeneration cycles . Also a problem with diesel fuel getting in the engine oil . No first hand experience but just what I have read .
