Need to redo the sides and wanting to add a top/ roof for my chip box.

the framework is all there but i need some ply.

Found this local to me, would this grade of ply be OK for my needs? ie getting wet daily etc, likely to warp?

12mm 8 X 4 STRUCTURAL GRADE C+/C WBP PLYWOOD EXTERIOR PLY 1220 x 2440 CE 1034 | eBay

Not really clued up on ply but seems a good price.

Also this one is local and in 18mm -

Awesome thanks.

that should be fine, built my box from 12mm ply and then sadolin ebony exterior stain then added signs been going stong for over five yrs!

^^ this was my next question!

Need to paint it leaving a nice smooth finish for sign writing.

Is it worth sealing ll the edges also to prevent warping down the years?

If so what with?

yes thats why I stained it as it seeps in the end grain, my sheets fitted into a wooden framework so are protected , make sure the roof ones go over the top of the side ones thus hiding the side panels from the elements, I went with 12mm over 18mm as theres a big difference in weight, but sure its only a matter of prefrenace.

Perfect.

Will see what deal i can get on 3 sheets. Looks like the rebuild will come in at less £100 inc paint

Will put some piccys up when done.

Thanks for the quick replies lads.
