tree report experience

Just wondering if anyone on hear can recommend a good course for learning more about tree reports.

We are regularly asked to report on trees on sites where we work but I'm getting the feeling this is just so the landowner can use us as the scapegoat if there is an incident.

They obviously need species & condition report plus recommendations.

I get the feeling this is a growing area within the arb world and feel we could do this work well- but would we be able to stand up in court with authority without training in this field.

there was a good article in the AA's arb magazine about being an expert witness in court but sounds strictly for pro's with experience (not that i'm saying your not)

Without the experience and decent reports you would get ripped apart by cross examination (again no offence by meaning you)

Sounds like its a minefield of an area but fully rewarding when done properly
