Ifor tt85 and tracked chipper

Is it possible to carry a tracked chipper, ether 150 or 190 tw on an ifor tt85? I know the weight limit is ok, my concern was with the trailer being top heavy?

 

Anyone with experienced of this?

Doable but not the best, high centre of gravity, high to load, another few hundred kg behind the tow vehicle and if you transported with the spout on then damned high.

Local roads or motorway? The first I'd do. The second I'd be uber cautious about. I used to put my mini digger (1700kg) on my old tt85 and it was really top heavy amd wallowed even at low speeds. A motorway ride would be a squeaky bum journey to say the least!

Local roads. I may have the option of borrowing a plant trailer, just wandering on other peoples options.

I have had a small 1.5ton digger on the tt85, but as you say was very top heavy. I didn't have to drive more that half a mile, but that was enough.

I do work for a chap who regularly runs that set up, seems fine. He tows it behind his hilux and works in a very rural, very hilly area.
